The Comprehensive Neuroscience Center

THE NEUROSCIENCES VISION FOR TOMORROW

The aspiration of the Center focuses on four key tenants – advancing diagnosis and treatments, providing excellent clinical care, expanding training and research efforts, and improving access and outcomes.

Together with the Medical College of Wisconsin and other key academic and community organizations, the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will advance the diagnosis and treatment of children with neurologic and neurosurgical disorders by delivering excellence across a full spectrum of clinical care, expanding research and training efforts, and leading the way to improving access and outcomes for the children of Wisconsin and beyond.

Hand in hand with more than 50 pediatricians and pediatric specialists offering advanced medical care and rehabilitation services, Children’s of Wisconsin is building a regional treatment center for children with neurologic disorders. Building on our other significant strengths in cancer and blood disorders, orthopedics, neonatal, craniofacial surgery, and developmental and rehabilitation care, we will expand state of the art comprehensive interdisciplinary neurologic clinical care through the development of a Comprehensive Neuroscience Center.

Tomorrow, The Comprehensive Neuroscience Center (CNC) at Children’s of Wisconsin will provide the highest level of care to one of the largest and most diverse patient populations in the country, offering expert diagnostic and treatment options for all neurologic conditions affecting children and adolescents.

As a fully integrated entity with disease-specific programs and services, the CNC will bring together specialists under one umbrella- neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neurooncology, orthopedics, craniofacial surgery, rehabilitation, behavioral sciences, EEG technicians, nursing, and family support services. By also integrating inpatient, outpatient, and physician services along these disease based programs, the Center will expand access to innovative and comprehensive care and consultation services in a patient centered and service minded way.

Tomorrow, the Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at Children’s of Wisconsin will be uniquely positioned to improve treatment and quality of care outcomes for the children and families facing the challenges of neurologic disease.
