COMPREHENSIVE NEUROSCIENCE CENTER 2014
At Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, 50-plus pediatric neuroscience specialists serve more than 10,000 children each year at the Comprehensive Neurosciences Center. Neurologic disorders affect the nervous system, brain, spine and/or peripheral nerves. They affect a child in numerous ways: from physical health to social, communication and behavioral development to cognitive functioning, learning, attention, sensory and motor processing.
Neuroscience Center team members specialize in providing diagnosis and treatment for children with a wide variety of conditions affecting the neurological system including epilepsy, migraines, scoliosis, seizures, brain tumors, spasticity, movement disorders, muscular dystrophy, and Spina Bifida.
The staff in the Neuroscience Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin combines specialized care with current research and community outreach to provide the best care possible. The philosophy is to treat not only the illness or injury, but the whole child.
